The Top 10 Street Food Restaurants in Kota You Have to Visit
Having lived in Kota for several years now, I’ve sampled most of the city’s traditional food, but there are always more meals to be had! Here are my ten favorite restaurants in Kota that serve up some of the most kota-famous food. Try them out on your next visit to the area and let me know what you think!
1) Jain's Dosa Corner
Dosa is one of the traditional food in Kota which is easily
available almost everywhere. Jain's Dosa Corner has different varieties of
dosa (like paneer dosa, cheese dosa, and many more) which are prepared at very
delicious and cheap rates. Every item cost less than 200 rs like tawa paratha,
pav bhaji, and other snacks too. Even they also serve masala coffee, cold coffee, etc which makes you feel in heaven while having it. This place provides you
excellent service with a good ambiance too. The seating capacity is limited but
their service was good enough that there was not even a single moment where we
felt waiting for our order or sitting without any tablespace.
2) Ramayana
Restaurant
This is a popular place for the traditional food of Kota. The
most famous dish here is varan bhaat. There are another four dishes which can be
eaten with rice like Chacharisala, Dahi baingan and lot more. Here we present
you its menu items for both veg and non-veg people. It serves many drinks too so that your thirst will never bother you anymore on these summer days. The cost of
dinner will be around 750 INR per person.
3) Gopal Vegetarian
One of my personal favorites, I usually order the same
thing: A plate of bhindi masala, a plate of papri chaat, and an extra-large
glass of lassi. The reason? The food is delicious, comes out quickly and it’s
very affordable. Not only are there great vegetarian options at Gopal’s, but
they also have some great tandoori chicken that goes perfectly with their
thin-cut naan. It’s a bit far from City Center, but don’t let that stop you
from trying one of the best foods in town.
4) Indra Garden
If you’re looking for traditional food in Kota, Indra Garden
is your place. This restaurant, located on Pantaloon Road and a mere kilometer
from Jhalawar Road, will serve you a delicious meal that keeps with tradition.
The taste of its famous chat-na-sev and ghee rice will linger on your tongue
even when you leave. Although slightly more expensive than other restaurants
nearby, it’s well worth it!
